CRS518-16XS-2XQ-RM
"Cloud Router Switch 518-16XS-2XQ-RM with RouterOS L5 license,
rackmount case (US)"

As our 100 Gigabit product family grows, the time has come to introduce a serious enterprise-level switch. A switch that is up for the challenge when the CRS504 port density is just not enough. Introducing the spectacular CRS518-16XS-2XQ!

With 2x 100 Gigabit QSFP28 ports and 16x 25 Gigabit SFP28 ports, this is the perfect cost-effective addition to any enterprise network or data center. And with dual-redundant hot-swappable power supplies and fans, you won’t have to worry about unnecessary downtime.

Here’s a real-life setup – similar to the one we’re using in our office:

At the top, you could place two flagship CCR2216 routers to provide the main connectivity and routing. Then a blazing-fast 100 Gigabit connection leads to three CRS518 distribution level switches. This is where all the magic happens. The CRS518 switches connect every access level device to the main network, deal with traffic filtering, and network policy enforcement. And they handle all that with grace and dignity – thanks to the fantastic Marvell Prestera Aldrin2 switch-chip. The same chip you’ve seen in our flagship CCR2216 that did wonders with L3 Hardware Offloading.

The 25-gigabit ports are backward compatible with 10 Gigabit and 1 Gigabit SFP devices. Mix and match as you need!

The two hot-swap power supplies support a high input voltage range: 100-240V. The board itself uses up to 45W of power, while the total maximum power consumption goes up to 77W with all the attachments. It can be a bit more power-hungry than the CRS504, but you would be too if you had 16x 25-Gigabit ports, wouldn’t you?

Our 100 Gigabit product family keeps growing: switches, routers, cables, and QSFP28 modules. If you want real speed and ultimate flexibility for the best price on the market – you want MikroTik!

Nothing can stop this switch: it supports VLAN (802.1Q, 802.1ad), L3 hardware offloaded routing, ACL, LACP, MLAG, Jumbo frames, IGMP/MLD snooping, and so on. Keep your RouterOS up to date and enjoy the real power of CRS!

CCR2116-12G-4S+
Cloud Core Router 2116-12G-4S+ with case (US)

We wanted to see the full potential of the good, old, reliable 10G networking combined with a modern CPU. CCR2116-12G-4S+ allows you to forget about CPU limitations in your setup. Like its younger brother – the amazing CCR2004, this router features the mighty Amazon Annapurna Labs Alpine CPU.

But with 16 cores running at 2 GHz, this CCR eats the other one for breakfast. For example, we see at least a 15% increase in single-core performance. And that is the most important aspect when it comes to heavy operations based on per-connection processing. Like queues, for example. CCR2116-12G-4S+ sets a new standard of single-core performance in the whole CCR product family! And it supports Layer 3 Hardware Offloading!

Obviously, you need the right connectivity to harness this power. There are four 10G SFP+ ports. They have a separate, full-duplex line connected to the Marvell Aldrin family switch chip. Then we have Gigabit Ethernet ports. 12 of them are running through the Marvel chip. And there is another Gigabit port connected directly to the CPU. For management purposes.

Each group of 4 ports has a separate full-duplex connection to the switch chip. No bottlenecks here. You can expect switch-like throughput in most setups. The new generation of processors offers mind-blowing performance. If we look at the CCR1036 - the powerhouse with a 36-core CPU, the new CCR2116 can easily double the performance. 16 cores vs 36 cores. Double the performance. Or even more.

If you are a rather large ISP, dealing with dynamic routing, massive BGPs, complex firewall rules, and intricate quality of service configurations..This is the right device for you. Combination of raw power and utility with reliable 10G networking. And yes, like with any ISP-level device, we’ve included a dual-redundant power supply. So you have one less thing to worry about.

CCR2116-12G-4S+: technology tested by time, built for the future.

This speed is no longer limited to data centers, ISPs, and large offices. You too can upgrade your 10 or 25 Gigabit network and join the one hundred club!

There are four 100 Gigabit QSFP28 ports. Use them to connect other 100 Gigabit devices or grab a breakout cable to connect multiple 25 Gigabit devices: each port is connected to four 25 Gigabit lines, allowing you to connect 16 x 25 Gigabit devices. In fact, you can mix and match all kinds of connections this way: 100 Gigabits on one port, 40 Gigabits on the other, 4x25 Gigabits on the third, and maybe even some 10G or 1G cables on the fourth. The mighty Marvell DX4310 switch-chip will handle everything without breaking a sweat!

Obviously, there is an Ethernet port for management purposes as well.
We’ve been using this switch for quite some time now in the Genomics Data Network project. A high-capacity data network for our local scientists working on ground-breaking cancer treatments. Genome data can take up a lot of space, so you need exceptionally fast connections there. Also, with these devices, Latvia became the first Baltic country to establish a 100 Gigabit connection to the pan-European research network.

With multiple powering options and the ability to be mounted on the wall, this switch will make any system administrator happy.

CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+
The new updated revision of CCR1009 is here. We attempted to combine all the customer feedback and best practice in CCR device manufacturing that we learned over the last three years since the first CCR1009 devices were launched.

Important changes

No switch-chip - the device now features only fully independent Ethernet ports each with a direct connection to the CPU, allowing to overcome previously shared 1Gbit limitation from switch-chip ports and utilize full potential of CPU processing power on those ports.

Combo-port - a single 1Gbit software interface that has two hardware interfaces - an SFP cage and a Gigabit Ethernet port, allowing you to use any type of connection available to you. It is also possible to switch between both physical interfaces in RouterOS. In an event of a disconnect, the combo port provides a hardware fail-over feature.

100Mbps SFP support - this is our first device that supports 100BASE-LX/100BASE-SX/100BASE-BX fiber modules, as well as standard 1.25G SFP modules.

More throughput - because the ports are now directly connected to the CPU, the new CCR1009 can achieve even higher throughput.

CCR2004-16G-2S+
Cloud Core Router 2004-16G-2S+ with RouterOS L6 license (US)
Like the other models in CCR2004 series, this CCR also features the Annapurna Labs Alpine v2 CPU with 4x 64-bit ARMv8-A Cortex-A57 cores running at 1,7GHz. But here’s the difference. This powerful router crushes all previous CCR models in single-core performance, and that is the most important aspect when it comes to heavy operations based on per-connection processing. Like queues, for example. But that’s not all! It also has the best single-core performance per watt and best overall performance per watt among all the CCR devices. Better for the planet, better for the bills, it’s a win-win!

The new router has 18 wired ports, including 16x Gigabit Ethernet ports and two 10G SFP+ cages. It also has a full-size USB and RJ-45 console port on the front panel. Like all CCR devices, it comes in a classic white 1U rackmount case. Built-in dual redundant power supplies are included, so you have one less thing to worry about. And, of course, there is active cooling to keep things nice and cool. Each group of 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports is connected to a separate Marvell Amethyst family switch-chip. Each switch chip has a 10 Gbps full-duplex line connected to the CPU. The same goes for each SFP+ cage - a separate 10 Gbps full-duplex line. Boards come with 4GB of DDR4 RAM and 128MB of NAND storage.

So as you can see - no bottlenecks. As long as the CPU can handle the processing, all ports can reach wire speed. And this CPU is a beast that can handle a lot. If we look at the performance, you can see that it is trading blows with our CCR1009. Even surpassing it in CPU-heavy configurations! And if that wasn’t enough – it can even reach the performance of CCR1016.

The best part? This brand new CCR is among the most affordable options out there - not only within the CCR series, but on the market in general. One of the most common ways to use this device would be: Gigabit Ethernet ports for the internal network; SFP+ ports for downlink and uplink. The perfect all-in-one solution for small and medium-sized businesses. Easy and efficient.

RB5009UPr+S+IN
It’s all about power...

This version of the RB5009 has all the bells and whistles of the previous model: Gigabit Ethernet, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, and a 10 Gigabit SFP+ cage for fiber connectivity. It has speed, power, and durability. But this time, we have added PoE-in & PoE-out on all eight Ethernet ports. Combined with the 2-pin connector and the DC jack, you’re getting 10 separate ways of powering. Dual redundant power supplies would usually take your uninterrupted uptime to the next level. RB5009UPr+S+IN takes it one step above that!

All power options support a wide voltage range of 24 – 57 V. However, you can not mix the voltages. If you’re using PoE-out to power other devices, the board will choose the source with the highest voltage (DC jack or the 2-pin connector) to power those.

Each PoE-out port can supply up to 25W of power. All the ports combined are limited to 130W, which should be enough for most setups. You can specify maximum available power from your power sources manually, if necessary. When it comes to PoE-out features, the new RB5009 can trade blows with our legendary PoE switches: CRS354 & CRS328. In the smallest possible form factor and for the best price on the market!

Protect your uptime, protect your tranquility!

So what exactly happens if there is a problem with one of your power sources? Here’s a quick example: you have 24V on the DC jack, 48V on the 2-pin connector, and 57V on the PoE-in. The board itself gets powered by the highest voltage input – the PoE-in. If there’s a problem, RB5009 will fall back to the second-highest voltage - the 2-pin connector. And if that fails – there’s the 24V option on the DC jack.

What about the PoE-out devices? Once again – the highest voltage wins. PoE-out devices will draw power from the 48V source on the 2-pin connector. If that fails – the 24V on the DC jack comes into play. The board will always reserve 20 watts to power itself. If there is not enough power for all the PoE-out ports, it will start disabling the ones with the lowest priority. You can set the port priority manually.

This tiny form factor shines anywhere: from confined research facilities and offices to huge corporate server rooms. And don’t forget that you can mount FOUR of these routers in a single 1U rackmount space

With the new RB5009, we want to empower all the small and medium ISPs that are always on the lookout for the most cost-effective and robust solutions. It is a perfect addition to our previous GPEN devices – a line of products designed to replace the expensive GPON solutions.

With so many powering options and a durable metallic case, the new RB5009 redefines affordable reliability.
